– Brain Function, It’s Team Sport – The mind is the organ in the body. Given this complexity, it shouldn’t be surprising that there are several ways to separate the portions of the brain. Brain components could be split on their basis of what they look under a microscope like to the naked eye, or by what brain components do. Spinal cord and the brain comprise the nerve system and the nerves located constitute the nerve system. You think of a gray blob you find a photo of the mind.
The wrinkles are known as the cortex and it is where the vast majority of neurons or cells reside. The cortex can be divided into four lobes. The frontal lobe, in which you do your heavy thinking, considering and planning your activities, temporal cortex, where you procedure sounds and type memories, occipital cortex, where you procedure each the things that you see, and connective tissues, where you incorporate or makes sense of all the different pieces of information that are invisibly your mind. The Hindbrain – Having evolved the Reptilian Brain or the Hindbrain is the part of the mind.
As you may guess from it is a name, it is a piece of mind anatomy that we share with reptiles and is their most primitive. Similarly, it is in charge of our primary instincts and most basic functions. Things such as their instincts of survival, dominance, mating and their basic functions of respiration, heartbeat each come from this area of the mind. Based on their Hindbrain are The Spinal Cord – This is the information superhighway of their human body. Also acts as a relay station for nerve signals going to\/from the brain – The Pons – Has roles in your level of arousal or consciousness and sleep.
Relays sensory information to\/from the brain. In addition, involved with controlling autonomic body functions. The Cerebellum – Mainly deals with movement. In addition, involved with learning movement. The Limbic System – The Limbic System sometimes known as the emotional mind or Old Mammalian Brain is their next aspect of the mind to have evolved in their more primitive mammals about 150 million years back. This is in which our emotions reside, in which memory starts and where both of these functions combine with each other to mark behaviors with negative or positive feelings. Based in their Limbic System is The Amygdala – It is name is Latin for almond that relates to its shape. Like the Memory in the computer, it processes and stores new and temporary memory for long term storage.
